Hebrew Language Instruction

Programs of Study

General Information

The Division of Hebrew language Instruction offers courses for Hebrew University degree students, as well as for full-time visiting students at the Rothberg International School and for external students who wish to study only Hebrew. Students are placed into classes according to their Hebrew level and academic background.

Summer Programs 2012

Summer Hebrew language courses are open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to other adults with an academic background.

Semester Courses

Modern Hebrew language instruction is available on a semester basis, in the autumn and spring.

Winter Ulpan

An intensive Hebrew language course designed for new RIS students who begin their studies in the spring semester, but is also open to external students.

Teachers Training

The Center for Training Teachers offers a half-year program of 120 academic hours designed to train teachers of Hebrew as a second language, mainly for institutions of higher education.

Regular Degree Students

The information on this page is intended for students who apply for degree studies at the Hebrew University for the coming academic year.
