Consistently ranked one of the World’s Top 100 universities and Top 25 schools outside of the US, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem invites international students to Israel to experience the outstanding, first-class overseas study abroad programs offered at the Rothberg International School.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is a multidisciplinary institution of higher learning and research, and an internationally recognized scientific center. The University’s faculty and alumni are leading world scholars and recipients of many national and international awards, including 8 Nobel Prizes. Among the Universities founders are notable intellectuals, scientists and philosophers, including Albert Einstein and Martin Buber.
The Rothberg International School opened its first program for in 1955, with 22 American students. Since then, the overseas study program has steadily expanded and the number of courses offered has greatly increased. Today the Rothberg International School attracts more than 2000 students annually, from over 70 countries around the globe, who come to study in Israel in English.
The vibrant Mount Scopus campus offers abundant opportunities outside the classroom for international students to interact with one another as well as their Israeli peers. Students can take advantage of stimulating lectures and seminars, diverse social, cultural and religious activities, invigorating athletic and recreational pursuits, and so much more.
Jerusalem is a thriving city and modern metropolis, where East meets West, and Judaism, Christianity and Islam merge and overlap. The city offers an exciting array of attractions including museums, restaurants, cafes and a vibrant night life. Jerusalem’s ideal location offers easy access to other main cities and sites in Israel, including cosmopolitan Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea and more.
The Rothberg International School is the international study center of the Hebrew University, with courses designed to open inquisitive minds to new areas of knowledge and inquiry. Faculty members include young scholars and established professors in their fields who have studied at leading institutions of higher education in the world and who have been involved in the development of over 2,023 inventions and over 7,000 registered patents.
