Jerusalem and Israel present a wide array of intriguing issues and contemporary topics for study within political science and the social sciences. Relevant courses are available in a variety of fields that demonstrate the strengths of Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School (RIS): anthropology, sociology, political science, psychology, economics, environmental studies, communication, urban planning, and public governance.

Using Jerusalem and Israel as a case study, you can take advantage of this broad range of subjects to gain a wider understanding of social, political, and cultural phenomena around the world. Jerusalem affords a fascinating and unique experience: cosmopolitan, multicultural, diverse, and splintered. Here, you can learn “on the ground” about the contemporary issues you might only read about elsewhere.
