Who Is Eligible for Family and Couples Student Housing?
Students (with families and/or spouses) in all areas of study, registered at Hebrew University for:
- A bachelor’s degree (1-4 years)
- A master’s degree (1-3 years)
- A doctoral degree (1-4 years)
- Certificate studies (for a full academic year)
Students (with families and/or spouses) pursuing degree studies who will have surpassed the allocated number of years listed above in the upcoming academic year are also eligible.
How to Apply
- Submit registration fee for family housing (US$ 25; non-refundable) on our payment page.
- Submit your housing request form (see link below) and copy of your passport photo page or Israel identity card (teudat zehut) to the RIS Housing Office by May 31.
Submissions are accepted in person, by fax (972 2 5882363), or by email. Late requests will be considered only after all other applications have been processed. Responses will be issued in June. Please contact the Housing Office if you have not heard from us by June 30.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, RIS will offer housing for families and couples in the following dormitory complexes:
Bronfman (Idelson) Dormitories
Bronfman is located on the Mount Scopus Campus. Approximate monthly rental fees:
Couple in a 1½-room apartment where both are students – NIS 2,558; where only one is a student – NIS 2,822
Couple in a 2-room apartment where both are students – NIS 2,850; where only one is a student – NIS 3,141
Couple in a 3-room apartment where both are students – NIS 3,141; where only one is a student – NIS 3,461

Reznik (Maiersdorf) Dormitories
These 2-room apartments are on the Mount Scopus Campus. Approximate monthly rental fee for a couple in a 2-room apartment where both are students – NIS 2,620; where only one is a student – NIS 2,882.
Scopus Student Village
These 2-room apartments are on the Mount Scopus Campus. Approximate monthly rental fee for a couple in a 2-room apartment where both are students – NIS 3,023; where only one is a student – NIS 3,323

The dormitory rates for 2016-2017 have not been finalized, and they will be announced prior to the beginning of the academic year. The apartment rents are linked to the consumer price index. The rates include utilities, but do not include the municipal property tax (arnona). However, in Reznik Building 8 and the Student Village, the rates also do not include utilities.
