Welcome to Hebrew University’s Rothberg International School! We have a series of events to kick off your Jerusalem adventure.

This is an example for orientation days for undergraduate, summer, Jerusalem, and winter ulpanim students. Please be sure to refer to the information sent by the academic office.

Day 1

  • 3:00 p.m. Walk to Campus
    The madrichim will lead you to the university!
    (Leaving from the South Gate of the Student Village.)
  • 3:30 p.m. Campus Tour
    Get to know your new home!
    (Leaving from Boyar Building, 3rd floor lobby.)
  • 4:30 p.m. General Orientation
    Mandatory
    (Boyar Building Room 100)
  • 6:00 p.m. Shopping Trip
    This is the perfect chance to buy what you need for your time in Israel.
    (Leaving from outside the 1st floor of the Boyar Building.)

Day 2

  • 7:00 p.m. Ice Breakers!
    Meet your fellow students and the madrichim (student life staff) who will be spending the semester with you.
    (Student Village on the grassy area near Building 2)

Day 3

  • 2:00 p.m. Jerusalem Tour*
    Explore downtown Jerusalem! Discover the best restaurants and nightlife centers in the city!
    (Leaving from the Student Village, North Gate. Bring NIS 20 for the light rail.)

Weekends*

*Currently for undergraduate students.

Weekends in Jerusalem are Friday-Saturday. Here are a few examples of the types of things we might do together:

Undergrad Weekend!*

A spectacular weekend in the stunning Ein Gedi Hostel. We will hike, eat, relax, and have fun together!
Friday-Saturday
Cost: 2 points

Friday Night (Shabbat) Dinner*

A festive Shabbat dinner, featuring a full Shabbat meal, friends, and fun.
Friday, 6:35 p.m.
Cost: 1 point
