Hebrew Semester Courses (Ulpan)

The number of academic hours in each course depends on the level of instruction and framework of study. Students are placed into the appropriate class on the basis of their Hebrew level and academic background. Courses are held in a number of frameworks, mainly regular degree studies and Rothberg International School programs.

  • Each semester extends over 11 weeks.
  • Instruction is available on levels Aleph, Bet, Gimel and Dalet (Beginners – Lower Advanced).
  • Classes meet 8 hours per week.
  • Two extra weekly hours of oral practice are offered to levels Aleph and Bet (subject to a minimum number of registered students)

Autumn

NOTE: Students who do not take the pre-semester Ulpan will not be able to join Hebrew during the semester.

Compulsory Pre-semester September Ulpan for those students intending to take semester Hebrew: September 6 – October 3, 2022
Program dates: 
October 10 – December 20, 2021
Final/Level exam: December 20

 

Spring

NOTE: Students who do not take the pre-semester Ulpan will not be able to join Hebrew during the semester.

Compulsory Pre-semester Winter Ulpan for those students intending to take semester Hebrew: February 1- February 27, 2022.

March 2 – June 1, 2022
Final/Level exam: June 1
