Semester courses in the Modern Hebrew language are mandatory for you as a student who is participating in one of our Preparatory Programs: Mechina Program, BASIS, Yesod, or Sadarah. Each course is 14 weeks long. You will complete a full level of Hebrew by the end of the semester. Please note that Level Aleph is not available in autumn or spring, and Level Bet is not available in spring.
Program dates: October 14, 2018 – January 18, 2019
Final exam: January 18 & 20, 2019
Levels: Instruction is available on Levels Bet through Vav (lower-intermediate to upper-advanced)
Program dates: March 4 – June 21, 2018
Final exam: June 29 & July 1, 2018
Levels: Instruction is available on Levels Gimel through Vav (upper-intermediate to upper-advanced)
Eligibility & Application
You must be accepted into the Mechina Program, BASIS, Yesod, or Sadarah program. You must also attend classes from the first day of the ulpan. See How to Apply to learn more. This program is for high school graduates who want to increase their chance of acceptance to an Israeli university. Applicants can have either no further academic background or some higher education.
Registration is also open to you as an external student, provided you have the appropriate Hebrew level. Our How to Apply page explains more about the process.
