Department of Summer Courses

The Department of Summer Courses and Special Programs offers short-term study abroad programs that enable students to combine an enriching academic experience with the opportunity to live and breathe the subject matter.

 

For over thirty years, the Department has offered stimulating, accredited summer courses to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as mature learners with academic backgrounds.

Programs of Study

Summer Courses

Each summer a comprehensive spread of short-term, intensive and specialized summer courses is designed for undergraduate and graduate students and mature learners with academic backgrounds. We offer courses in the following areas: Israel Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, International Law, Jerusalem Studies, Jewish and Religious Studies, and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies.

Summer Intensive Language Programs

Each summer, the Rothberg International School offers language courses in Biblical Hebrew, Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Arabic, on introductory and internediate levels. The courses are instructed by highly professional, dynamic and experienced staff. Teaching methods include frontal classroom instruction and conversational practice, and incorporate multi-media educational aids and the use of both classical and modern texts.

Special Programs

The Rothberg International School boasts cooperation with universities, institutions, and organizations worldwide who facilitate study abroad programs here on our premises, benefiting from our academic expertise and administrative support services.

Archaeological Field Schools
