Rothberg Academic Partnership Program (First-Year and Gap Year Students)

 

This option allows students attending other gap year programs in Jerusalem to take courses at the Rothberg Internaional School (RIS). Qualified students may choose any of the following components: 

  • Summer Ulpan (10 credits)
  • Winter Ulpan (5 credits) 
  • Hebrew Language Courses: 8-10 hours per week during the autumn or spring semesters (6-7 credits) 
  • Freshman Level Courses in Jewish, Israel and Middle Eastern Studies as well as in Brain and Behavioral Sciences and Environmental Studies. Courses meet for 4 hours a week during the semester (3 credits per course). 

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the program, candidates must meet the admission requirements for First Year Semester Students. In addition they must already be enrolled in a gap year program elsewhere in Jerusalem that is responsible for their housing and health insurance.
