Coexistence in the Middle East Application Information

Thank you for your interest in the Coexistence in the Middle East summer course. Please read the information below carefully before applying to the course.

Coexistence in the Middle East Application Guidelines

  • Applicants must send all documents as outlined on the application form.
  • Decisions will only be finalized after all required documents have been received.
  • All correspondence will be sent to the email address and home address listed under “Personal Information” as it appears on the application form.
  • Candidates must notify the office of any change of address or personal information.
  • Application forms and supporting documents will not be returned or transferred to any other institutions.
  • The University reserves the right to cancel courses that do not meet the required minimum enrollment.

 

Coexistence in the Middle East Financial Information

  • Applicants pay a non-refundable Application Fee of US $80 (or equivalent sum in local currency). The application fee may be paid online, in cash, traveler's check, certified bank check, bank transfer or money order payable to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Personal checks are not accepted.   • The Tuition Fee for the "Coexistence in the Middle East" course is $1600 USD (participants in the 6-credit option are entitled to a 10% discount). This fee is to be paid to Coexistence in the Holy Land via the following payment methods.
  • In order to secure your participation in the program, all applicants must pay the Coexistence in the Middle East program Tuition Fee after receiving the acceptance letter from the Rothberg International School (RIS).
  • Payment of the Tuition Fee for the Coexistence in the Middle East program must be submitted no later than:
    • July Session: May 15, 2013
    • August Session: May 15, 2013
  • Please note that the Tuition Fee for the Coexistence in the Middle East program is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the participant, as it is used for booking and to ensure that the program you chose has the required minimum number of participants.

 

Optional 6-credit Program Financial Information (July Session Only)
  • Participants in the optional 6-credit program (see Optional 6-credit Program) are entitled to a 10% discount off of the total tuition fee for both courses.
  • Information regarding refunds for RIS courses as listed with the Optional 6-credit Program can be found here.

Coexistence in the Middle East Supplementary Application Materials

 

To Be Submitted Online, via Email or by Regular Mail

  • A Passport-Size Photograph: a scanned photo may be uploaded during the online application process or may be sent via Email. The scanned photo should be in JPEG, GIF or Bitmap format and no larger than 1MB.
  • Academic Letter of Recommendation: A letter evaluating the applicant’s character and academic ability. Students currently enrolled in an institution of higher education should submit a letter from one of their instructors. Applicants can provide a name and email address of their recommender during the online application process. The Rothberg International School will contact he recommender directly to request receipt of a recommendation for the applicant.
  • Transcript: One official copy of the applicant’s most recent university transcript or an authorized photocopy of his/her degree. A scanned copy of the transcript or degree can be uploaded during the online application process.
  • Medical Form: The form must be completed and signed by your physician. The medical form can be downloaded here or during the online application process.
  • Housing Reservation (Optional): Rooms are only assigned to accepted students who request for housing. The housing request form is included in the online application process and it is available on the Rothberg International School website.

Formal Acceptance

 

The only evidence of acceptance to a Rothberg International School Division of Studies program is an official letter issued by one of these offices:

  • Division of Studies at RIS
  • Office of Academic Affairs of the Hebrew University, New York
